Grizzl-E Club vs ChargeLab Rewards: which program fits?
The shortest answer is about hardware: Grizzl-E Club supplies an eligible charger under Club conditions; ChargeLab Rewards is built for an eligible Canadian homeowner who already owns a compatible smart charger. The ownership, app, payout and exit details matter as much as the headline reward rate.

Grizzl-E Club is the more relevant option to investigate if you want access to a supplied Grizzl-E charger and can accept a refundable deposit, shipping, installation, continuous Wi-Fi, active primary-use requirements and United Chargers ownership of a supplied charger during membership.
ChargeLab Rewards is the more relevant option to investigate if you already own an eligible OCPP 1.6-or-newer smart charger at a Canadian single-family residence and are willing to connect it to ChargeLab, grant ChargeLab exclusive rights to claim the charger’s carbon credits during enrolment, and receive rewards under its current quarterly payout rules.

A headline 10¢ rate is not an apples-to-apples comparison when one path includes supplied hardware and the other starts with owner-supplied compatible hardware. Compare your total cost and obligations.
Grizzl-E Club
A connected Club charger, a tiered cash-reward schedule and more responsibility than “free charger” implies.
What stands out
- No supplied-charger hardware purchase price for an approved member.
- Current reward tiers begin at 3¢/kWh and rise only for future sessions after cumulative thresholds.
- The current security deposit is described as refundable after the first eligible online charging session; the amount depends on charger and enrolment choice.
- The supplied charger remains United Chargers property during membership.
What can disqualify the fit
- You cannot maintain Wi-Fi at the installation location.
- You want unconditional ownership of supplied hardware.
- You intend to use the charger only as an occasional backup.
- You cannot cover shipping, permits, electrical work or installation when required.
- You are uncomfortable with connected-session data and Clean Fuel Credit participation.
ChargeLab Rewards
A current flat-rate reward for an eligible single-family homeowner who already owns compatible connected hardware.
What stands out
- Current published rate of 10¢/qualifying residential kWh.
- No subscription or registration fee under the current provider page and terms.
- Quarterly rewards; current terms describe digital gift cards or another delivery method selected by ChargeLab.
- Current examples include Autel, Siemens, Wallbox, SWTCH/Home EVL007 and Grizzl-E Smart, subject to compatibility verification.
What can disqualify the fit
- Your home is multi-tenant, shared-use, commercial or fleet charging.
- Your charger is not compatible or cannot remain connected.
- You need to keep another platform claiming carbon credits for the same charger.
- You do not want to migrate a single-connection charger to the ChargeLab app.
- You expect a fixed rate or permanent program; the terms allow changes.
Seven questions to answer before you enrol.
- 01Who supplies and owns the charger?
Separate a hardware benefit from ownership. Confirm what happens on cancellation and full program termination.
- 02What will the electrical work cost?
Neither headline reward eliminates panel, circuit, permit or electrician costs.
- 03Can the charger stay online?
Missed or disconnected sessions may not be recoverable, and both programs rely on transmitted charging data.
- 04Which app controls charging?
Check scheduling and whether your charger can keep its manufacturer app connection.
- 05How are rewards delivered?
Cash/EFT, gift card, payout threshold and payment frequency are materially different.
- 06Who can claim the carbon credits?
Do not enrol one charger in conflicting programs that claim the same charging activity.
- 07What if the program or rate changes?
Read modification, notice, final-payout, hardware return and ownership-transfer clauses—not only today’s rate.

- Confirm Canadian residence, age and property type.
- Identify your charger model—or whether you need one supplied.
- Confirm plug, amperage, panel and circuit feasibility.
- Check Wi-Fi at the parking location.

- Confirm which app and carbon-credit operator will control the charger.
